Survey after survey shows how marketers are cutting their spend on traditional 'above the line' advertising and moving to online. A 2008 McKinsey & Co survey in the US reported that 91% of advertisers were using online advertising and over half were planning to continue to cut their spending on traditional media in favour of online.With online video advertising delivering richer online experiences, higher brand recall and increasing click through rates, it is estimated that online advertising currently accounts for in excess of 20% of total advertising spend in the UK and US, with that figure expected to grow strongly over the coming years.
